School Bell Timer is used to control an electrical bell, siren or Hooter so they ring or hoot at a predetermined time and duration. It is an all-electronic, digital timer with no external mechanical switches/buttons or controls. The automatic school bell timer can be accessed and configured/controlled from any smartphone or PC over its own wireless network (no WIFI connection required, No Internet connection required). (A) Wifi range is the same as the home router. It depends on whether it is indoor or outdoor. Outdoor, without obstacles the range is about 20 meters. If your question is about bell loudness range, then it depends on the bell one selects. Please note that the bell is to be bought separately.

(Q) Does it require an Internet Connection?

(A) No, it does not need any internet connection. It operates on Wifi. It acts as an access point (like a home router). The smartphone can directly connect to its Bell wifi network with the given unique password.

(Q) What’s the battery life? and battery type?

(A) Battery life is more than one year. The device uses a 2032 battery.

(Q) Is a separate bell to be fitted extra?

(A) Yes, a separate bell is needed. It is just an automatic bell controller (timer). Bell to be bought separately.

(A) (i) Make sure that the device is powered up.

(ii) Move closer to the controller.

(iii) Try with a different mobile phone.

(A) Make sure that the AM/PM is programmed properly. The correct schedule (S1-S3) is programmed for the day and the day is not programmed as a holiday. Make sure you delete not needed bell timing/sessions. Do not program zero duration for the unused bell timing/sessions, just delete it.

(A) (i) Make sure that the device is powered up.

(ii) Make sure that the bell is connected and is working properly.
